We believe The Gospel The Gospel is the truth about Jesus; who He was, what He did - and why it matters to us. The Gospel, simply put, is the the story of a loving God reaching down to His creation to set us free from our sins, so that we can live our lives, both here on earth and for all eternity, in close relationship with Him. The Gospel is what God did for us - the actions He took on our behalf, so that we would no longer be in darkness and separate from God. He sent Jesus, His Son, to pay the ultimate price for the salvation of those who choose to believe in Him. Core Values Our Mission: We find our mission in the Great Commission, which is stated in the New Testament. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:19–20 Our Calling: We believe that loving God and loving others is our highest calling. “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. Worship: With thankful hearts we gather as a community to worship Jesus. Instruction: Desiring to know God, we spend time together in Bible Study learning from His Word and growing in our faith. Fellowship: Like the early church we meet in large gatherings and in small groups. Connecting with others in small groups allow us to develop meaningful authentic relationships that are essential to a healthy life. Gospel living: The good news of Jesus compels us to share it with others. We do this by sharing the Gospel with our voice (evangelism) and our hands (serving the community). We believe... That the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only unfailing rule of faith and practice for the Christian Life. In one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and that these three are co-equal. In the full deity and full humanity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return. That man was created by and for God; that by man’s disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross to cancel out the sin of all who trust in Him. Thus, we are rescued from an eternity apart from God by faith alone in Christ alone; all who trust in Jesus Christ are declared righteous by God and will, therefore, spend eternity in His presence. This does not occur because of anything we do but by God’s grace alone. In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit; convicting men of sin; indwelling all believers from the moment of salvation; enabling and empowering the believer’s life, growth, and ministry.
