Mission Dorado Baptist Church

Glorifying Christ and sharing our faith is our mission. We are built on a biblical foundation to do the work God has prepared for us. To do this we work off of three principles: #1- The members of a church are God’s gift to the church. #2 - Members are gifted by God and equipped by leaders to meet the needs of the church. #3 - We are healthy and work as designed by God only when every member fits into their place of service and we fulfill the Great Commission. We use key words to help us remember the three principles: Share - We exist on this planet to tell others about Jesus Christ, in every context, in every place, in every geography starting right here in Odessa and aiming at the ends of the earth. Worship - We exist to live a life of worship that honors Christ. We worship daily through personal Bible reading and prayer. We worship corporately by centering our Sunday morning experience around God’s Word. Nothing else sustains and transforms us except the Word of God. Serve - each member is intentionally placed in this local body of believers by God to meet the needs of the church. Every member commits to finding at least one place of service to honor the Lord. Care - Care comes from inside the Gospel Community. We are not to walk alone or fight alone, we are meant to be in corporate fellowship where physical, emotional and spiritual needs are met by the church. We are discipled when we care for one another, we allow others to be discipled when we allow them to care for us. When a member is plugged in to the four areas mentioned above, true discipleship occurs. We believe true discipleship is being plugged into the life and flow of the church.
