Grace Baptist Church

Central Baptist Church was founded on October 14, 1912, Central began as a doctrinal, confessional church, but as many churches departed from that in practice choosing programs over doctrine. In 1998, Pastor Sigman came calling the church back to confession and expositional, exegetical preaching, regular observance of the Lord's Supper with church discipline, and confessional baptism. We are always reforming under the Lord's word and the Spirit's direction. In August, 2017, Hurricane Harvey flooded the church with more than 60 inches of water in two days. After much prayer Central Baptist and Friendship Baptist in Groves came together to become Grace Baptist Church in Groves on Dec. 9th, 2018. We still preach expositionally through books of the Bible and practice church discipline at the Lord's Table.
