First Baptist Church of Urbana

The church was established in 1846 as The First Regular Baptist Church of Urbana. We are continuing to build on a strong heritage as we hold forth God’s word and seek to reach the people around us with the gospel through the corporate ministries of the church and the mission of each member. We have adopted the New Hampshire Confession of Faith with the inclusion of the article on creation and the article on marriage from the Philadelphia Baptist Confession of Faith. We are a church with representation from all age ranges that is growing in our understanding and experience of what it means to be a part of the body of Christ.
