Crossroads Baptist Church - Wichita KS

Crossroads Baptist is a multigenerational church that seeks to help people of all ages find meaning and purpose in life Crossroads was organized as a multigenerational church in February of 2007 and held its first service in the Rounds Fine Arts Auditorium at Wichita Collegiate School on 13th Street the first Sunday in March 2007. We purchased our present property at 11441 E Central Avenue in Wichita, KS and held our first service in December of the same year. The church celebrated paying off its mortgage 16 years in advance by burning its mortgage in a celebratory service on August 23, 2015. Both the church and its property have undergone multiple improvements since its purchase and is saving toward expansion. Pastor Riffee, with the eager backing and urging of 130 charter members, saw the need of starting a multigenerational traditional evangelical Baptist church that emphasized sound Biblical preaching and teaching with the goal of providing meaning and purpose for both present and future generations in the Wichita, KS area. Pastor Riffee served as the Senior Associate Pastor of Fairpark Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, TX for 23 years before moving to Wichita, KS in 1993 where he served as Senior Associate Pastor of Messiah Baptist Church for the next 14 years before starting Crossroads Baptist with Messiah Baptist's blessing. In Texas, besides serving as Associate Pastor at Fairpark Baptist in Ft. Worth, Pastor Riffee also taught upper level math, physics, chemistry, and Bible classes at Temple Christian School. In addition, Pastor Riffee taught 1st and 2nd year Greek, Bible Study Methods, and Baptist Church History at the Arlington Baptist College in Arlington, TX.
