Ashburton Presbyterian Church

We belong to the Presbyterian Church of Australia, but ultimately to Jesus. We believe that Jesus is central to all things and that all things consist in Him, are for Him, and find their meaning and purpose in Him. We believe that 'true life' is only experienced when Jesus Christ is the foundation, so we are about "Finding solid ground in Christ." We seek to be a community that brings glory to God, and works for the coming of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in fullness, by: * nurturing believers in obedience to God’s word and daily dependence upon Jesus Christ; * developing a loving and welcoming fellowship in which no one is left in want and no one is left behind; * sharing the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ with our neighbours and the wider world; and * bringing change to our community and country by the example of our lives, by our actions, and by speaking the truths of God’s word into the community; recognizing that we may do this only in the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
